IT'S BEEN A WHILE

A lot of you have been wondering where I've been and begging for a new blog (ok, it's my bro this time not mom, but thanks for asking!). Between the Super Bowl last weekend, American Idol twice a week, our horny, drunk Mayor, and of course Anna Nicole Smith, I've been busy with the news and gossip and trying to buy Prince's headscarf on eBay.
Speaking of the Super Bowl and being horny, my friend Alex really enjoyed the roasted asparagus with feta. Roasting asparagus is too easy, and it still makes your pee smell which is always fun. I just drizzle them with olive oil and sea salt (trim off bottoms first), toss on the cookie sheet to coat, and roast in a single layer for about 8 minutes in a 425 degree oven. Yum. There were sausages too...I got three different kinds of Aidells at the market; smoked duck, bratwurst and Burmese Curry which seemed to be the most popular. That's me frying 'em up! Do those jeans make my butt look big? Drats.
The sirloin bites with bloody mary dipping sauce did not score a touchdown (figures...it's a Rachel Ray recipe), but my cupcakes always make up for any kitchen fumbles (annoying football references end here). Spoiler alert: these are not homemade! I know my baking skill limits, so I stick with Duncan Hines devils food cake mix and Betty Crocker whipped cream cheese frosting. I know it's not organic, but I never said I was perfect. I'm glad I made two dozen, cuz most people wanted more than one. Kelton secretly pulled me aside and asked, "is there a one cupcake per person limit?" I had three. That's the Super Bowl update. Thanks to baby Ramona for not pooping on our bed during naptime!

No the jeans don't make your butt look big. You look like you have lost weight matter of fact. Food looked great, especially the cupcakes. (I taught you something smart and easy) Love your kitchen. I would like to cook in such a nice place. Have a great weekend. (in your pj's)
