When you're out replenishing your crack supply at 6th and Mission, or jamming with the boombox guy who's dressed like a soldier, circa Michael Jackson's Thriller video, did you ever think you could simultaneously get some healthy, delicious, seasonal food while you're at it?
Well Split Pea Seduction thought about it, and you must go here now!
I wouldn't steer you wrong.
They're open for breakfast and lunch only, featuring savory and sweet crostatas, salads and soups. The menu changes daily according to the creative whims of the kitchen and whatever Mother Nature is kicking down that week.

Al Gore, take note.
Right now, I am eating a dandelion greens, strawberry, and mixed nut salad with a little queso thrown in for good measure. We're not talking the Planters can of mixed nuts that your Aunt Denise puts out for company either.
Oh yeah, the lentil and snap pea soup was really good too. It's comfort food, and it's healthy. Well, the crostata pastry probably isn't gonna reduce the cellulite on your thighs, but it's better than a Big Mac!
Last week I had a fava bean, arugula and asparagus salad with shaved Pecorino, and a fennel and wild mushroom crostata...all washed down with an old school Crush Grape soda. I'm telling you...check it out! They've only been open about a month, and they deserve some love. I can escort you there if you're scared.

can you be my escort? just be sure to wear your gold fronts. ok?
i'm a believer! yesterday h-bomb and i ventured down to this cute spot for lunch and i was wowed by the freshness of it all (and by heather's nice tan). granted, the wait was a bit longer than desired -- maybe everyone had read heather's blog and went down there to try it -- but it was all worth it when our salad and soup arrived. we washed down the meal with a vanilla-blackberry crostada. hells yeah!
God could I eat good if I lived in California. Florida SUCKS as far as fresh anything or any kind of variety. Win I will the lottery, California Here I come...
